Meet the Teacher

Ms. Kristine Wilbrecht

Hello and welcome to my classroom. This will be my ninth year teaching, and third year with the GT magnet program at Swope Middle School. I have a BS in Environmental Science and Ecology as well as a Master of Arts in Teaching. I am beginning my doctorate in STEM education this autumn.  I love teaching science, and am so fortunate to work with such a dynamic team at Swope. 

At home I have a wonderfully supportive partner named Tyler, along with a four year old named Everett and 3 month old named Ingrid. Our house is rounded out with a golden retriever and two cats. In our free time we like to ride our bikes, go rock climbing, and ski in the winter.
